in the news this friday morning, a pregnant woman is mauled to death in pacifica by her own pit bull. they hope tests will show why the dog attacked. >> santa rosa police are trying to sort out a bizarre robbery attack. two guards were locked in a security warehouse. >> not as much cloud cover and more sunshine and slighter warmer and significant cooling trend is waiting for us. good morning. i'm sue hall. overnight road work. also a big festival in golden gate park this weekend that will have traffic in a mess. >> and there are signs this morning that financial markets stock markets in asia and europe waited far wild swing in wall street the last few days.

thank you for joining us. >> a test is scheduled today on pit bull that mauled its owner to death. her husband made the discovery. 32-year-old woman was killed inside their home in pacifica. here is lilian kim. >> reporter: police arrived at this home after getting a 911 call from the victim's husband. >> when they arrived they found the victim laying in her own front living room. she was not unresponsive and major trauma to upper body. his stated when he got home at about noon he found his wife with the pit bull hovering over her. >> they owned two pit bulls. the unneutered pit is believed to be responsible for mauling and killing darla. they shot and killed the dog after it escaped from the backyard as officers were

conducting their investigation. >> the last thing we wanted to happen is the dog get out and attack people in the neighborhood. as soon as that dog got out of the backyard the decision was made to put the dog down. the dog was shot three times by officers on the scene. >> they say she was pregnant but don't know how far along. neighbors say the dog appeared nice. >> there may have been something medically wrong that caused the attack. there are follow-up questions we may ask in the future. >> reporter: as a precaution the other dog is being held at marin humane society. this morning santa rosa police are investigating a robbery attempt attempt at at a warehouse. they got a call just before

11:00 last night. they say two men were found locked in the building when they arrived. the men say they were locked in a warehouse by unknown number of suspects who may have been armed. officials say no armored cars were stolen and notices clear it wasn't clear but there might have been amount of money taken. $2500 reward is being offered leading to the arrest of the suspects. >> the man charged with a murder of a three-year-old boy is scheduled to return to court today. lawrence denard was taken into custody on tuesday. he is a parolee who has done time on a weapons conviction. three-year-old carlos nava was shot to death on monday. victim of a stray bullet in a drive-by shooting. nearby residents were relieved that the accused gunman was

caught. >> yes, i heard there was an arrest was made it does bring a sense of relief. the community is deeply in sorrow. we still have a loss. >> investigators say a witness told police denard was the shooter. meanwhile police are looking for one more suspect. they say the getaway driver was identified by one of two men injured in the shooting the man accused of running down a nine-year-old bail is back in jail. he posted $65,000 last week but yesterday the judge increased the bail to $465,000. vargas was taken back into custody. he is accused of hitting 9-year-old ryan white at the intersection of mission and new montgomery streets in san francisco. >> andrew is distraught. she remorseful. he is ashamed how he acted and he is hoping that ryan will make a full recovery.

he remains in san francisco general hospital where his condition has been upgraded from critical to serious. >> wall street is helping to close out one of the most volatile trading weeks on a positive note today. asian markets were mixed in overnight trading falling yesterday's rebound. nikkei was down .2 of percentage point and hang seng was up. bank stocks in europe recovered. markets were higher in frankfurt and patient's. dow futures are pointing towards a positive open. california cities battling sacramento. they have to pay property tax revenue to the state for face the lot of redevelopment

agencies. they are hearing a lawsuit claiming the measure is unconstitutional. chuck reed says the suit is to help the city of san jose and the people that live there. >> san jose is one of the named plaintiffs because we are directly injured by the state's action. money is being taken from the redevelopment agency is going to be taken out to services to residents in san jose. >> courted says it will decide by january what the outcome will be. governor brown is counting on the added tax revenue to balance the state's budget. >> most bay area transit agencies are seeing a steady increase in riders because of higher costs. media partner san jose mercury news caltrain ridership is up nearly 12 of. bart has seen an increase of 8% and valley transportation authority has increased more than 7%. higher gas prices are the largest factor but higher bridge tolls and parking fees are playing a role.
